Carlsbad's Pure Burger Will Bring Second Location To Mission Valley's Fashion Valley Mall

May 12, 2018

Fashion Valley Mall is trying to step up their food game to compete with the likes of La Jolla's ever-expanding Westfield UTC! In addition to two new restaurants from Fox Restaurant Concepts heading into the retail destination later this year, there is also a second outpost of Carlsbad-based Pure Burgers that will open by year's end.

From founder Ron Weinberg, Pure Burger began as a branch of Virginia-based organic burger chain Evolution Burger before Weinberg decided to go independent and "offer a better product", transitioning to Pure Burger in May 2013. Weinberg started sourcing the finest organic, grass-fed meat that was local to California and ground for patties in-house daily, sourced buns that are baked fresh, and began using Tillamook cheeses. He also upgraded the burger toppings, using items like fresh jalepenos, grilled mushrooms, avocado, and organic ketchup.

Pure Burger has targeted the former Sports Fever space within Fashion Valley Mall for its second location. The new outpost will offer 1,950 square feet of interior dining space and a 750 square-foot tented outdoor patio with a running fountain. In addition to a line up of signature organic beef burgers, fresh cut fries, and homemade Tillamook ice cream shakes, Pure Burger will also offer a Jidori grilled chicken breast sandwich, veggie & vegan burgers, and a Pure Bison burger, as well as sweet potato fries, craft beer and wine.

Pure Burger is expected to debut within the space located at 7007 Friars Rd, Suite 359, on the first floor of Fashion Valley Mall by this September. For more information, visit pure-burger.com and check out the menus below.
