Knotty Barrel To Bring Second Location To San Diego's Rancho Penasquitos Neighborhood

August 13, 2018

Longtime East Village San Diego neighborhood bar & grill, Knotty Barrel will soon begin construction for its second outpost, opening next year in the old Cafe 56 location in Rancho Penasquitos.

Founded by Ken Lovi in San Diego's East Village in 2011, Knotty Barrel added an inhouse brewery, tasting room, and beer garden in 2016. The new outpost heading to North County will offer 4,000 square feet of interior dining and drinking space, complimented by a 2,000 square foot outdoor patio. Expect plenty of games, as well as fire pits, all paired will offerings from a full bar. Expect a lengthy draft beer list, including beers brewed at the East Village brewery, and an upscale tavern menu of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. The North County branch will also offer a weekend brunch.
