Another Beautiful Trip To Baja | A Weekend Celebrating All Things Valle De Guadalupe & Beyond

October 8, 2018

We just returned from an absolutely amazing weekend in Baja's Valle de Guadalupe wine region, which was less than a 2 hour (stunning) drive from San Diego. Our ultimate destination was the 2nd annual Valle Food & Wine Festival, which was possibly the best culinary event we've ever attended, but we explored and ate all over the place during the three day trip. Check out our photos and start planning your own vacation to Mexico's incredible wine country!

The primary purpose for our trip down Baja California Norte was to attend two out of three days of this year's Valle Food & Wine Festival. We stayed at the newly opened Don Tomas Vinedo in one of their adorable a-frame cabins, which we enjoyed immensely, including our fantastic dinner at their onsite restaurant. We also visited the world famous La Concina Dona Esthella for breakfast, checked out the architectural stunner that is Bruma Vinecola & Fauna Restaurante, sipped delicious wines from Monte Xanic Vineyard, enjoyed cocktails at the gorgeous Aqua de Vid compound, and closed out the weekend with tacos from one of our favorite spots in the world -Tacos El Yaqui (followed by a teeth cleaning at Washington Dental in Tijuana). All in all, it was a great success that rekindled our undying love for Valle De Guadalupe and the Mexican culture. Also, you do not want to miss next year's Valle Food & Wine Festival, that's all we have to say!
