The West Coast's first Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse will debut in front of the brand new InterContinental Hotel at downtown San Diego's bayfront on November 3.
The San Diego branch of Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse will be the first on the West Coast. It was designed by Aria Group and built at the price of approximately $10 million. The kitchen will be helmed by Executive Chef Brian Christman, who previously ran the brigade at the flagship branch in New York City and also has steakhouse experience at Mastro's and Smith & Wollensky's. Expect a menu centered around high-end cuts of steak and fresh seafood like you would find at other upscale steakhouses, as well as an expansive bar & wine program curated by wine director Faith Fulginiti, who also came over from the Manhattan outpost, and general manager Michael Manoocheri.
The restaurant will be able to house 480 guests within its bi-level, indoor and outdoor dining areas. It will feature a dramatic, wine-encased staircase offering a transition from the ground level to the upper tier, with bars on both floors, as well as high ceilings with top-to-bottom windows facing the harbor. San Diego's Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will also offer five private dining rooms in addition to patios on both levels to maximize the outdoor space for the near-perfect San Diego weather.
Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse will debut in downtown San Diego with a grand opening on Saturday, November 3, but the luxury steakhouse is hosting limited discounted dining on October 29 & 30 to give their staff some advanced practice.
