Amarin Thai Alum To Open The Nood Bar Asian Fusion Restaurant In North Park

November 30, 2018

A former manager of Hillcrest's popular Amarin Thai restaurant is branching off on his own for the opening of The Nood Bar, an Asian fusion eatery opening in early 2019 in the North Park space that last housed Vision Cafe & Market.

Chalathorn Buntuwachiraporn was previously the manager of Amarin Thai in Hillcrest and is also an interior designer that has revamped many local restaurants. For The Nood Bar, he will design a modern, casual eatery with a true fusion menu. Expect dishes that span an array of cultural influences including Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean.

Highlight's from The Nood Bar's expansive and eclectic menu include deep fried cream cheese avocado samosas with mango dipping sauce, deep fried shrimp on a stick wrapped with bacon and egg noodles, three different versions of fried chicken wings, as well as salads, rice bowls, noodle soups, and make-your-own noodles options. The Nood Bar will also serve beer, wine, sake and soju cocktails in addition to ice tea, boba tea, and Japanese sodas and soft drinks.

The Nood Bar is expected to open in early 2019 at 4596 30th Street in San Diego's North Park community. For more information, visit nooodbar.com and check out the draft menu below.
