Arizona-Based Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers To Open North County San Diego Location

March 16, 2019

Arizona-based Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, which entered America's Finest City with the opening of a downtown location in fall 2016  - will be taking over the space the last housed 83 Degrees in Carlsbad Village for the opening of a second area outpost.

Founded in 2011 by Square One Concepts (which also has owership interests in San Diego's Pacific Beach Shore Club, Bootlegger, and Park 101), Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers currently has a dozen locations dotted around Arizona with one in San Diego's historic Gaslamp. The sports bar concept has made a name for itself due to a menu centered around a selection of hand-formed, never frozen, ground chuck, half-pound burgers. Add to that a large menu of five types of mac-n-cheese and classic sandwiches, hand crafted salads, char broiled hot dogs and a selection of appetizers such as grilled drummettes, sliders, hell fire chips and more. The eatery also features a popular ”"Burger Challenge", which starts with 3 half pound patties and goes up from there - finish in the posted time and the burger is on the house. For those that don't finish, their photo will be plastered up on the restaurant's website. CB&C also boasts an ever-rotating beer menu that consists of over 150 beer choices on draught, bottled or canned.

The Carlsbad location of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers will be more than 5,400 square-foot with indoor seating that has more than 30 high definition, flat-screen televisions. There will also be an expansive outdoor patio. Square One hopes to open more CB&C branches in San Diego in the future.

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers plans to open as early as this summer at 660 Carlsbad Village Drive in Carlsbad. For more information, visit coldbeers.com.
