Barrio Logan's Por Vida Cafe Expands To North Park

May 11, 2019

Barrio Logan's Por Vida cafe and creative collective will soon open a second location in San Diego's North Park community.

Founded in San Diego's historic Barrio Logan neighborhood in 2015 by owners Carolina Santana and Milo Lorenzana, Por Vida is a cafe and community space with a mission to embrace and expand creativity. Santana also runs San Diego Taco Company, the parent organization behind Salud taqueria locations in Barrio Logan and National City, with a third branch currently under construction in Point Loma's Midway District.

The second location of Por Vida will install in The Rainbow Building in North Park, which is the headquarters of CoPlace - a San Diego based consortium of experts in real estate, finance, analytics, architecture, and creatives who are passionate about revitalizing communities. Por Vida is actually part of a CoPlace community betterment project, as well as Quartyard in San Diego's East Village and incoming CoPlace community creative hubs in Barrio Logan and Chula Vista. Like the flagship location, the North Park Por Vida will serve a menu of speciality coffee drinks like the canela y brown sugar latte, mazapán latte, horchata cold brew and the daring cold brew limonada. They also will serve house made aguas frescas like spicy limonada, spicy mango limonada, and spicy sandia limonada all seasoned with Tajin around the cup's rim. There will also be a menu of small bites and snacks.

Por Vida will open at 2004 University Avenue in San Diego's North Park later this year. For more information, visit porvidacollective.com and check out the menu below.
