San Diego-based Modern Times Beer has teamed up with local hospitality group Consortium Holdings (Born & Raised, Morning Glory) for a contemporary coffee house concept dubbed the Invigatorium, now open in downtown San Diego's East Village.
Located in the downtown space where Coffee & Tea Collective sat before recently relocating to 704 J Street, Consortium Holdings has teamed up with San Diego's ever-expanding Modern Times Beer to open a retro-style coffee shop called Invigatorium, which will offer an array of coffee concoctions, cold brews, pour-over drinks, and Modern Times craft beers, as well as various vegan pastries and snacks from Split Bakehouse. The Invigatorium is open at 631 9th Street starting today at 7am and will operate until 7pm daily. The space is designed with a gigantic gold disco ball hanging front and center, a velociraptor statue behind the bar, and a dragon mural made from Post-It notes. In addition to coffee and small bites, the business will offer sell Modern Time Coffee packaged to-go.
