August 27, 2019

After generating a summer full of buzz and excitement since the initial lineup announcement for Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival this past June, the organizers have now announced additional artists to and released the daily schedule of performers. We are also raffling off 2 weekend passes to attend the highly-anticipated inaugural event. Read on and be sure to enter for a chance to win.

Taking place this November 22-24, Wonderfront will have many big name performers gracing 7+ stages spread across the downtown San Diego waterfront and included a broad diversity of music genres with rock, indie rock, hip hop, EDM, rap, reggae, Americana, and more. The inclusion of Latin stages, with a full lineup of top Latin artists highlights the festival's goal of community inclusion to help make the Wonderfront Festival a city-wide celebration. Previously announced artists included Miguel, Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, MGMT, Walk the Moon, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Jam, Don Omar, Vince Staples, Tyga, Big Gigantic, Los Angeles Azules, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Phantogram, X Ambassadors, Michael Franti, Lil Dicky, Pennywise, and many more. What began as a 70+ artist lineup, has now grown to a diverse 95+ artist lineup, and is still growing.

The newly announced artists rounding out the amazing lineup include Guitar Legends 3 featuring an all-star band of surprise guests, Migos, J.I.D., Jhay Cortez, Khea, Wild Belle, Gioli & Assia, Grandma, Jesse Baez, Banda Tierra Brava, Los Crecidos, Seis en Linea, Cydeways, Glades, Brewfish, and special performances each day with Christian James Hand. Guitar Legends 3 will bring some of the best guitarists on the planet and an All-Star Band to the Wonderfront stage on Nov 24th. Presented by America Salutes You, the broadcasted concert event will be filmed live and air as a holiday special to raise funds for veterans and first responders charities.

"Our goal with this lineup was to have it stacked from start to finish each day with great artists," explained Wonderfront co-founnder Paul Thorton. "It’s hard to really call any certain bands our so-called headliners as so many lines of bands on this festival are all headliners in their own right. We’ve had a tough time choosing between so many talented artists across the many genres into the finite number of stage slots available. We also wanted a great mix of artists across the time slots, so that not all the bigger names were just playing at the same later times. We really appreciate the artists that have worked with us to make that possible. And since announcing the response has been fantastic, and many more artists have approached us and that is why the number of artists keeps growing, plus we are still booking the artists for the boat parties and the Silent Disco DJ sets."

In the early 2000s, Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom HuckJam Tour was the biggest, high-flying spectacle in action sports, traveling the country and playing the biggest arenas in the land. Now, Tony is bringing back the HuckJam ramp to Wonderfront with bands like Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, X, DJ Z-Trip and a crew of some of the best professional vert skaters and bmx bikers in the world, including Tony Hawk himself, Andy MacDonald, Bucky Lasek, Lizzie Armanto, Kevin Staab, Elliot Sloan, Lincoln Ueda, Simon Tabron, Jimmy Wilkins, Paul Luc Ronchetti, Evan Doherty, Marcello Bastos, and Jordyn Barret.
