Dirty Birds Lands In Ocean Beach Starting This Weekend

September 19, 2019

San Diego's expanding chain of popular wing-focused sports bars, Dirty Birds will open its highly anticipated Ocean Beach location this weekend within the newly build Ocean Beach Plaza.

After a delay caused by the denial of a full Type-47 liquor licence, Dirty Birds is finally ready to open its 1,200 square-foot Ocean Beach outpost, the company's 4th San Diego restaurant. Founded in 2008 by Jon Ollis and Adam Jacoby with the opening of the original location in Pacific Beach, Dirty Birds now has locations in the college area of San Diego State University, inside Liberty Station in Point Loma, and a 5th location set to install on the University of California San Diego campus in La Jolla, taking over the space that housed Round Table Pizza for almost three decades.

The new Ocean Beach outpost of Dirty Birds is sited within the largest unit inside the new Ocean Beach Plaza, which also houses a branch of Mr. Moto Pizza House. In addition to the restaurant's lineup of nearly 40 different wing flavors, as well as sandwiches, salads, burgers, sliders, and appetizers, the bar will serve an array of craft beers on tap and wine by the glass.

Dirty Birds Ocean Beach will soft open this Saturday, September 21, from 4-10pm, with regular hours beginning the following day. The restaurant is located at 1929 Cable Street. For more information, visit dirtybirdsbarandgrill.com.
