Online restaurant-reservation service company OpenTable analyzed an excess of 12,000,000 reviews of more than 30,000 restaurants across the country to come up with its list of the top 100 restaurants in America for 2019, and two San Diego spots are included.
Today OpenTable, the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations, released its list of the 100 Best Restaurants in America. The list is generated from diner reviews collected between October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. It includes two San Diego restaurants, Addison at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar and The WineSellar & Brasserie in Mira Mesa.
The inclusion of Chef William Bradley's
Addison comes as little surprise, as the Del Mar fine dining destination was the sole San Diego restaurant to be
awarded a Michelin Star earlier this year. Opened at what is now the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in 2006, Addison was quickly regarded as the top spot for French fine dining in all of San Diego. Known for its pure opulence, the restaurant offers a luxurious dining experience that reflects Bradley's meticulous approach to the craft of cooking with superlative, personalized service led by Maitre D’ Sean McGinness. The 80-seat dining room is a sophisticated setting for Bradley's ten-course tasting menu, which showcases and preserves the integrity of seasonal and world-class ingredients. A five-course menu is also available with the option for a supplemental cheese course from Addison's custom, marble-topped cart.
More of a shock is the inclusion of lesser known
The WineSellar & Brasserie. Opened in 1989 by Gary and Lori Parker, the 10,000 square-foot Mira Mesa restaurant offers a menu of French cuisine complimented by a premium international wine. The eatery also boasts an onsite wine store and a relaxed sister concept The Casual Side, as well as twice-weekly wine tastings, numerous wine clubs and guided worldwide wine tours.
