Break Point Bar, Restaurant & Bowling Alley To Open This Week In Pacific Beach

January 12, 2020

A new nearly 10,000 square-foot all-day restaurant, bar and night-focused lounge with a handful of bowling lanes will open this week in the space occupied by Johnny V for more than a decade. Break Point is the newest addition to San Diego's Pacific Beach.

From husband and wife Mike & Amy Lee - who operated Johnny V in Pacific Beach from 2006 until it closed in late 2018 (and Plan B in for 15 years before that) - Break Point is designed by Davis Ink (Better Buzz Coffee, Grass Skirt) with a complete top-to-bottom remodel of the space by Equity Builders (Dunedin, Queenstown Public House). The new concept boasts a stylish beach-inspired lounge feel with a variety of seating options, including large booths, a central bar and high tops looking out over bustling Garnet Avenue. The concept will offer a full bar with area beer and craft cocktails, as well as a menu of creative American fare eventually available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Break Point will also boast four bowling lanes, which should make it a welcome entertainment destination in Pacific Beach.

Break Point is hosting an industry night tonight starting at 8pm with a soft opening scheduled for Tuesday, January 14 at 11am. The eatery will launch with a limited menu featuring shareable plates, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, bows and salads with additional items and breakfast service to be offered later in the year.

Break Point is located at 945 Garnet Avenue in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit breakpointpb.com and check out the photos below.
