The Gluten Free Baking Company currently operates a dedicated gluten free production kitchen in Coronado, and at the request of their customers is finally opening a retail location this weekend in the heart of San Diego's North Park.
Following her son's gluten intolerance diagnosis, Roanna Canete had to learn to cook for her child which eventually led to a new vocation. She soon left her career as a leadership consultant to launch a wholesale production bakery in Coronado centered around gluten-free cakes, pastries and donuts. With the help of in-house cake designer Lisa Altfest, The Gluten Free Baking Company gained in popularity and was even featured on Netflix’s Sugar Rush series this past fall.
"After years of serving the San Diego restaurant scene with wholesale gluten free baked goods, it is our pleasure to open a retail bakery," commented The Gluten Free Baking Company founder Roanna Canete.
