Two San Diego hotspot eateries will be featured on this weekend's episode of the Cooking Channel’s Food Paradise!.
This Sunday, May 3, at 10pm, tune into the Cooking Channel for Season 14, Episode 6 of Food Paradise! to see San Diego's own Trust Restaurant and Tribute Pizza show off their wood-fired flare. The episode, entitled Flame On!, was filmed in late 2018 and the eateries just found out last week that it would finally air this coming weekend.
As the name suggests, the show will showcase a variety of dishes across the United States that are cooked using open flame. A total of 6 restaurants will be featured, including a burger spot in Santa Monica, CA, a barbecue eatery in Charleston, SC, a flame-focused restaurant in Los Angeles, a global Washington DC hotspot, and a red-hot restaurant in Nashville, TN, as well San Diego's own Tribute Pizza in North Park and Trust Restaurant Group in University Heights. Trust Restaurant Group partner and executive chef Brad Wise will show off his wood-cooked meats, while Tribute Pizza owner Matt Lyons will demonstrate the perfect flame charred craft pizza.
Despite the Covid-19 coronavirus stay at home orders, patrons can still get a taste from Trust Restaurant Group by patronizing their curated menu at Fort Oak in Mission Hills. Tribute Pizza is also offering their menu, as well as a selection of grocery items, for take-out. Visit them online at fortoaksd.com and tributepizza.com to learn more and place an order.
