Huntress Steakhouse Unveils This Weekend In San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter

July 2, 2020

Almost 2 years in the making, San Diego's RMD Group (Volcano Rabbit, Rustic Root, Side Bar, and Ciro's Pizzeria) will unveil its highly-anticipated 7,000 square-foot Huntress steakhouse this weekend in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Although the full dining experience is put on hold due to COVID-19, the Bar at Huntress will open this Friday with a limited food menu. The multi-level restaurant was designed with a catwalk overlooking the main dining room and a floor-to-ceiling wine display with an intimate elevated private area. Huntress joins sister concept Lumi by Akira Back, a 5,000 square foot modern Japanese rooftop restaurant which opened last month within the 1887-era former Grand Pacific Hotel building.

The bar at Huntress boasts one of the largest selections of Japanese whisky in the country, as well as a Toki Japanese highball machine, which is essentially a device that marries a few ounces of chilled whisky with ice and soda water. The kitchen at Huntress is helmed by executive chef James Montejano and will be centered around luxury meat cuts including dry-aged varieties and fresh seafood. To launch, there will be a variety of elevated bar bites, like lobster corn dogs, salmon tartare, seared Wagyu beef sashimi, Spanish charred octopus, and various sized seafood towers.

The Bar at Huntress opens this Friday, July 3, at 376 5th Avenue in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. For more information, visit huntresssteak.com and check out the menu below.
