Trust Restaurant Group To Bring Rare Society Steakhouse To San Diego's North County

August 27, 2020

San Diego's seemingly ever-expanding Trust Restaurant Group will launch a second location of its Rare Society steakhouse concept in the heart of the North County neighborhood of Solana Beach.

San Diego's Trust Restaurant Group started in early 2016 with the opening of Trust Restaurant within local design guru Jonathan Segal's Mr. Robinson Building on the outskirts of Hillcrest. The hospitality company was founded by alums of San Diego-based Eat.Drink.Sleep (JRDN, Decoy Dockside Dining), including Co-Owner/Chef Brad Wise, former GM/Managing Partner Steve Schwob, and Pastry Chef Jeremy Harville. In January 2019, the team (with financial backing by local real estate developer and co-owner of San Diego Legion rugby team Ryan Patterson) unveiled Fort Oak within developer Jonathan Segal's The Fort mixed-use building in Mission Hills. This past November, the group unveiled Rare Society, a modern take on the classic American steakhouse. In January 2020, Trust Group opened all-day restaurant, bakery and marketplace Cardellino within the space previously occupied by Brooklyn Girl Eatery in Mission Hills. And earlier this month, the Trust Group took over The Heart & Trotter Whole Animal Butchery in North Park with plans on rebranding the concept to become The Wise Ox butcher shop and eatery.

Trust Restaurant Group will soon install a second location of its Rare Society classic steakhouse concept into 330 Cedros, a $25 million mixed-use luxury apartment building recently built by RAF Pacifica Group in the center of Solana Beach. Like the original, the 3,200 square-foot North County location will offer a Mad Men-style vibe and a lengthy menu of wood-fired steakhouse favorites ranging from appetizers to pastas to seafood and steak. The restaurant will also have a full bar with classic cocktails, nightcaps, draft beer and an expansive wine list.

Rare Society is anticipated to open in early 2021 at 330 Cedros Avenue, Unit 104, in San Diego's Solana Beach. For more information, visit raresocietysd.com.
