Bachi Bus To Bring Japanese Hibachi To San Diego Starting This Week

September 21, 2020

Opening in San Diego's South Park community this weekend is Bachi Bus, a teppanyaki-outfitted food truck grilling up Japanese hibachi favorites.

Bachi Bus is owned by a group of longtime friends, including Jermaine Bush who boasts 13 years in nightclub marketing and management, NBA player Thomas Bryant of the Washington Wizards, sports and entertainment marketing alums Jamelle Holieway & Christopher Hollimon, and Head Chef Robin Johnson. This will be a brand new experience for all owners, as it is their first food truck or hospitality concept.

"Due to COVID-19, all of our professional industries have been closed, so us group of friends came together to find a new project to fill a void through our passion of food," explained co-owner Jermaine Bush. "The growing demand for new restaurant experiences is what attracted us to do a hibachi food truck concept. The menu will feature filet mignon, lobster, chicken, shrimp, salmon, NY steak combinations with fried rice and our house special Bachi Sauce."

Bachi Bus will soft open this Saturday, September 26, from 3pm until late night in the parking lot of Target at 3030 Grape Street in San Diego's South Park. Expect a large array of proteins cooked on a seasoned Japanese teppanyaki grill. For more information, follow the food truck's Instagram page and check out the menu below.
