Dining In The Dark To Launch In San Diego This Spring

March 10, 2021

San Diegans will be able to dine blanketed in darkness when roving Spanish dinner experience Dining In The Dark comes to America's Finest City this spring.

Dining in the Dark began in July 2020 and has since taken place in 48 cities around the globe. Founded by Madrid-based event producer Fever, the concept invites diners to experience a 3-course, 90-minute meal while blindfolded in a low light restaurant. After receiving tips on how to stay orientated during the blinded meal, diners get to choose between a meat, seafood or vegan menu, then each dish is a surprise to be revealed once the dinner is finished.

The San Diego incarnation will launch on May 26 at a yet-to-be announced restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter and the venue will change every three months. Initially, the meal will only be offered on Wednesday evenings with two seatings - 6pm & 8pm. The price for the experience is approximately $90, non-inclusive of beverages.
