Burgeon Beer To Open The Arbor Tasting Room & Kitchen In Little Italy On April 17

April 3, 2021

On April 17, Carlsbad's 4-year-old Burgeon Beer Company will unveil The Arbor, a 2,000+ square-foot tasting room and chef-driven restaurant in San Diego's Little Italy.

Burgeon Beer Company was founded in Carlsbad, CA, in 2016 by longtime friends Matthew Zirpolo, Anthony Tallman and Derek van Leeuwan. Last fall, the company opened The Oasis outdoor beer garden in the space previously occupied by Escondido Brewing Company, adjacent to the Escondido Feed & Pet Supply. The company is also working on the opening of The Greenhouse, a 2,100 square-foot private event space at their main brewery at 6350 Yarrow Drive in Carlsbad.

Unveiling later this month on the base floor of the new Savina by Bosa luxury condominium development on Kettner & Ash in Little Italy, Burgeon Beer's 'The Arbor' is designed with reclaimed California fire-damaged wood, lush plant life, and green accents to capture the company's nature motif. There will be roll-up garage doors, 17' ceilings, and a 400 square-foot outdoor patio to make patrons feel like they've been transported to a forest beer garden.

The new tasting room will offer Burgeon's various beers as well as local and California wines, plus a full scratch-made menu from Executive Chef Jesus "Chuy" de la Torres. Expect a menu of sandwiches, tacos, burgers, wings, as well as vegan and vegetarian selections, all made with mostly locally-sourced and organic ingredients.

The Arbor will soft open on Saturday, April 17, at 1326 Kettner Boulevard in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, visit burgeonbeer.com.
