San Diego's Expanding Mr. Moto Pizza To Open Mission Valley Branch

April 16, 2021

Fresh off the opening of the company's 8th outpost in San Diego's Little Italy, Mr. Moto Pizza is already working on the launch of a new location in Mission Valley.

Mr. Moto Pizza was founded in Pacific Beach in 2015 by Gibran Fernandez - a San Diego native who started in the pizza business at the age of 23 working for La Jolla's Pizza On Pearl, which was owned by Gibran's Uncle Aram Baloyan - who also has ownership interests in The Taco Stand chain and La Jolla's Himitsu sushi restaurant. Mr. Moto Pizza House has since expanded with locations in North Park, Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Seaport VillageEncinitasLittle Italy, and another in La Jolla where it took over Baloyan's Pizza On Pearl. The Little Italy branch opened just this week.

The newest Mr. Moto will open as early as this summer in the 1,000 square-foot space previously occupied by Volver Volver Mexican restaurant within Mission Shopping Center in Mission Valley. Like other branches, Mr. Moto's new location will offer a menu centered around NYC-style pizza with inventive toppings, such as the Vodka Cream Pizza with vodka sauce, raspberry chipotle sauce, bacon and sour cream, or the Smoky Greens with fresh spinach, ricotta, garlic and sweet balsamic glaze. The company is also currently seeking a location to open a 10th area restaurant in La Mesa.

The 9th Mr. Moto Pizza House will open at 5618 Mission Center Road, Suite 1001, in San Diego's Mission Valley. For more information, visit mrmotopizza.com and check out the menu below.
