Part of the continued $2 million revitalization of downtown's Seaport Village, the Port of San Diego has announced leases have been signed by three new local businesses, including East Village-based craft distillery Old Harbor Distilling Company.
"Our more than $2 million investment in enhancing and elevating the Seaport Village experience continues to pay off with the addition of Zytoun Gourmet Mediterranean and Old Harbor Distilling Company," said Port of San Diego Chairman Michael Zucchet. "Seaport Village is a San Diego hotspot. We hope everyone gets a chance to visit soon - and keeps coming back!”
Rounding out the new tenants is Tuk Tuk Eatery, an Asian themed fast-casual eating and drinking establishment featuring BBQ bowls and a bao bar. Tuk Tuk Eatery is from Jose & Deborah Stepensky, who have long operated San Diego Burcer Company in Seaport Village. Tuk Tuk will open this summer in the space that last housed Seaport Grill.
Seaport Village is owned by the Port of San Diego and operated in partnership with Protea Property Management. The iconic downtown San Diego destination has recently undergone a series of site enhancements including a brand refresh with new signage, exterior painting on the property’s iconic buildings, new plants and flora, and upgraded amenities like the Urban Beach, a picturesque seating area with Adirondack chairs facing the bayfront vista. Louisiana Charlie's restaurant is also expected to open this summer, with a location of Los Angeles-based Malibu Farms to open in the longtime Harbor House space by summer 2022.
