The Habit Burger To Open New Drive-Through Branch In San Diego's Pacific Beach

August 22, 2021

American fast casual chain The Habit Burger is opening a branch in the standalone building that last housed a taco shop on the corner of Grand Avenue & Cass Street in San Diego's Pacific Beach.

Founded in Santa Barbara, CA, in 1969, Habit Burger now has more than 300 locations around the United States, China, Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates, although most restaurants are sited in California. The fast-casual eateries offer a menu centered around charbroiled burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads and fries. In March 2020, Yum! Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell and KFC, acquired Habit Burger for $375million.

Construction on the new Pacific Beach location of Habit Burger will soon begin at the 1,964 square-foot building that last housed Macho's Mexican Grill and several other taco shops before that. The newest San Diego outpost, which will be the company's 376th store, will feature a drive through window.

The Habit Burger is expected to open by year's end at 980 Grand Avenue in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit habitburger.com.
