After More Than A Year In Hibernation, San Diego's Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant Announces Relocation Plans

October 19, 2021

After more than one year dormant due to the pandemic, Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant has announced plans to relocated to a new space in its namesake San Diego neighborhood.

Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant was founded by Executive Chef Carl Schroeder and restaurateur Terryl Gavre in 2010. The restaurant has been closed since September 26, 2020, due to "continued and changing Government restrictions...for the foreseeable future". Owners have announced plans to find a new space in the Bankers Hill neighborhood, with a reopening promised to occur by summer 2022.

"We’re moving!", read a post on Bankers Hill restaurant's Instagram page. "We have loved our time in this space, which we’ve put all our heart and soul into, but unfortunately our lease expires at the end of October and our landlord has plans to repurpose the building for another use. Although a deal has not been inked, we are hoping to reopen by the summer of 2022 in close proximity to our original Bankers Hill location. Stay tuned for updates and we look forward to welcoming you back in to a new and exciting Bankers Hill restaurant. Until then, you can still get a taste of our signature dishes and flavors at our San Diego Airport outpost in Terminal 1."

Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant was located at 2202 4th Avenue in San Diego's Bankers Hill neighborhood. For more information, visit bankershillsd.com.
