Carruth Cellars Opening 10,000 Square-Foot Restaurant & Wine Tasting Room In San Diego's Liberty Station

October 23, 2021

San Diego's Carruth Cellars urban winery is in the process of opening a 10,000 square-foot restaurant and wine tasting room in Liberty Station.

Carruth Cellars was founded in 2006 by Adam Carruth, a San Diego native with decades-long experience in the wine industry. Over the years, Carruth Cellars has grown to be San Diego's largest urban winery, with tasting rooms in Solana Beach, Carlsbad Village and Little Italy, as well as a production facility in Oceanside where 25,000 cases of wine are bottled annually. The winery has produced 15 award-winning wines as rated by the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, as well as two Gold and four Silver medals for its wines at Sunset Magazine’s International Wine Competition.

In addition to building a new multi-tenant tasting room and production facility in Oceanside dubbed Hangar 76, Carruth Cellars has taken over a former art gallery space in Liberty Station for the opening of a new restaurant and tasting room. Expected to unveil in spring 2022, the concept will offer a menu of charcuterie and cheese boards, panini sandwiches, salads, and other light fare to pair with Carruth's wines, including Carruth's Lake County Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir Rose, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and Paso Robles Grenache.

The new Carruth Cellars tasting room & restaurant will be located at 2710 Historic Decatur Road, Suite 101, within Liberty Station in San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood. For more information, visit carruthcellars.com
