After cancelling the 2020 installment due to the pandemic, the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival returns for its 17th annual festival this November 10-14, offering a delicious lineup of culinary events, meals, and excursions.
Named the winner of the 2019 USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest for Best General Food Festival, the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival returns to America's Finest City in November 2021. Tickets are now available for the annual culinary classic, which will once again feature the action-packed Grand Tasting, San Diego and Baja’s celebrated chefs, international and domestic wineries, breweries, spirits, brand experiences and live entertainment.
"The return of the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival will allow locals and visitors alike the chance to reemerge from the dormancy of the past year and into the sights, smells and sounds that can only be associated with this event," said Festival Producer Michelle Metter. "It's everything we know and love about this event, but made that much more special given the lapse of time and our ability to be together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to San Diego and another opportunity to Arrive at Awesome."
In addition to the Grand Tasting on Saturday, November 13, other highlight events at this year's San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival include the Grand Decant ultimate wine tasting experience; a Baja expedition with the knowledgeable Fernando Gaxiola of Baja Wine + Food; a vegetarian dinner with low alcohol spirit pairings at the new Verbena Kitchen; an evening of Barolo wines with a 5-course Italian meal at Solare Ristorante; the Baja Fire + Ice dinner with Chef Flor Franco; a three-course luncheon with wines from Napa’s famous Chateau Montelena at the iconic Mister A's restaurant; an unstoppable "Game Night" featuring six courses from top chefs and a reception paired with the masterful wines of Louis Latour; and the Taco TKO presented by Hornitos Tequila festival to close out this year's festival. The San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival offers several ways to indulge in the most awesome culinary experience of the year, including all-inclusive ticket packages that offer overall savings, and feature hotel accommodations as well as admission to a selection of the food and wine festival's premier events.
The San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival raises money for local and national charities including scholarships for culinary, hospitality, enology, and viticulture students. To date, the Festival has donated more than $475,000 for aspiring professionals. Announcements on this year's recipients will be made in the coming months. Past participants have included the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Berry Good Food Foundation, AIWF, and Kitchens for Good.
