Shootz Fish x Beer Unveils In San Diego's North County

November 17, 2021

Now open in San Diego's North County is Shootz Fish x Beer, a casual seafood-centric eatery and poke shop in partnership with the chef-owner of Oceanside's hit sushi destination Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub.

Now open as the food component of Oceanside's new BottleCraft brancht, Shootz Fish x Beer is operated by builder-designer Chris Slowey, professional surfer Cheyne Magnuson, branding pro Mike Weeks and Wrench & Rodent founder Chef Davin Waite, who also operates The Whet Noodle and plant-based The Plot in Oceanside.

Shootz operates from a glass-tile enclosed kitchen and walk-up window from within Bottlecraft at Tremont Collective. The current menu is very concise and includes several tacos, poke bowl options and daily market specials, all made with fresh sustainable seafood. To compliment the food, there is a menu of beers brewed by Alesmith brewery made to pair with specific dishes served at the eatery, including a Japanese lager made with rice. Like Chef Davin Waite's other restaurants, Shootz has a zero-waste ethos and also serves vegan items like its Cerritos taco made with chamoy celery root, pineapple, cilantro, onion, habanero salsa dulce and vegan crema.

Shootz is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 7pm at 602 South Tremont Street in San Diego's North County city of Oceanside. For more information, visit shootzfishxbeer.com.
