A wealthy and prominent San Diego native is gearing up to open Jeff's Beach Burgers, a casual American eatery set to unveil later this year in La Jolla Shores.
Jeff's Beach Burgers is the product of partner Jeff Jacobs, the youngest son of Qualcomm co-founder and billionaire Irwin Jacobs. Jeff is a lifelong San Diegan who had a 22-year career at Qualcomm and was once the company's Chief Marketing Manager. He is also an owner of Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, a part owner and executive of the Sacramento Kings NBA team, and is a limited partner in the San Diego Padres MLB organization. Longtime Jacobs associate, area accountant and property manager, Jeffrey Essakow, is also a partner in Jeff's Beach Burgers.
Located only a short distance from Jeff Jacob's oceanfront La Jolla Shores home, Jeff's Beach Burgers is currently under construction in the space that last housed Yogurt Your Way. Expect a menu of flat top grilled burgers, including vegetarian and vegan varieties, as well as fries, sides, milkshakes and a selection of beer.
Jeff's Beach Burgers is expected to open at some point in spring 2022 at 2134 Avenida De La Playa in La Jolla Shores.
