Sayulitas Mexican Food To Open New Location In San Diego's East County

January 15, 2022

A San Diego-based taqueria chain with Mexican and Filipino heritage, Sayulitas Mexican Food has announced it has closed its Escondido branch and will soon open a new location in the East County community of Santee.

Sayulitas Mexican Food was founded in 2015 by owner Rosalinda Flores, and the Mexican-Filipino fusion taqueria now has locations in Mira Mesa, 43rd Street in downtown San Diego, Picador Boulevard in San Diego, San Marco and Las Vegas. The company announced recently on its social media that it would be opening a new branch in Santee.

After shuttering its Escondido branch at the very beginning of 2022, Sayulitas Mexican Food has plans to soon open a new outpost on Woodside Avenue near CA-67 in San Diego's Santee community. Like other branches, the eclectic menu will feature tacos, burritos, tortas, chimichanga, enchiladas, quesadillas, tostadas, soups and entrees. Highlights include a Lumpia-filled burrito, the surf & turf fries, and the Spamsilog burrito with eggs, Spam, rice, cheese and sour cream.

Sayulitas Mexican Food is anticipated to open this February at 10769 Woodside Ave, Suite 105, in San Diego's Santee. For more information, visit sayulitaseats.com
