Replacing Sundara Indian restaurant in San Diego's Ocean Beach neighborhood is Whomp Burger & Brew, a new American tavern set to open this spring.
Longtime restaurant industry insiders Brenna & Sean Olsen and Mandy & Brian Freye have taken over the space that last housed Sundara in Ocean Beach for their first restaurant project.
Whomp Burger & Brew will offer indoor and outdoor back patio seating with an American gastropub menu featuring signature burgers, sandwiches, wings, fries and appetizers, as well as several taps with local beer, kombucha, hard seltzer and wines by the glass.
