Now open in a what was previously an event space area at Bahia Resort in Mission Beach, Dockside 1953 offers a nautical-inspired design with expansive views of Mission Bay and a coastal-inspired menu featuring fresh seafood and comfort food dishes. The restaurant will have a 2,100 square-foot interior dining room with a 3,100 square-foot outdoor patio overlooking the docks where the Bahia Belle and William D. Evans sternwheelers are moored. The outdoor area features cozy fire pits, a covered trellis, and stunning unobstructed views of Mission Bay.
The all-day menu at Dockside 1953 is being designed by Bahia Executive Chef Chris Bates in collaboration with the Executive Chefs of sister properties - Jeff Jackson from The Lodge at Torrey Pines and Steven Riemer from Catamaran Resort & Spa. Dishes range from comfort foods, to mid-century classics, to coastal seafood dishes, to regional favorites, and best-sellers from the other properties operated by parent company Evans Hotels. Breakfast includes sweet and savory options while lunch provides diners with fresh salads and sandwiches. Dinner features shareable seafood starters, hearty mains, and craft cocktails.
