Chicago's Instagrammable Technology-Based WNDR Art Museum To Launch San Diego Experience

August 2, 2022

Chicago's immersive, technology-based art museum WNDR (pronounced "wonder") is scaling across the U.S., which includes opening a new branch in downtown San Diego.

Founded in 2018, WNDR’s flagship location in Chicago has over 35 Instagrammable installations by iconic artists Yayoi Kusama, Keith Haring, and Alex Israel, as well as captivating pieces by its own collective of artists and makers WNDR Studios. Think floating metallic spheres, light-up floors, and rooms filled with neon pinks, purples, and greens making for the perfect photo ops to fill the Instagram feed. WNDR has been featured in numerous publications including the Washington Post, USA Today, Hypebeast and was named a Top 5 Immersive Experience in the United States.

A new WNDR Museum is in the works to open at the historic The Broker's Building on Market Street in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. Expect a variety of immersive experiences that blend technology and art, as well as an onsite cafe & full bar with beer, wine and cocktails. There is a strong likelihood the museum will host its popular WNDR After Dark series, featuring DJs and live music along with local vendors.

WNDR is anticipated to open at 422 Market Street in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter at some point in 2023. For more information, visit wndrmuseum.com.
