San Diego Padres Player Goes To East Village Bar, Buys Fans Drinks & Celebrates After Historic Win

The San Diego Padres longest tenured player was spotted around following the historic victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers where he was seen celebrating, buying fans drinks, tending bar, and posing for photos. 

Following San Diego Padres exciting game four National League Division Series comeback win over the Los Angeles Dodgers, longtime player Wil Myers went out in the downtown area where he was spotted at Social Tap Eatery in the East Village. Outfield and first baseman Wil Myers, along with his wife Maggie, were reportedly buying shots for everyone the bar, as well as high-fiving, taking shots behind the bar and celebrating. Padres pitchers Tim Hill, Nick Martinez and Joe Musgrove all eventually met the Myerses at Social Tap. 

"As a San Diego native and fan my entire life, the energy in the stadium surpassed the '84 and '98 run, of which I was at the Murph for both," commented Social Tap Eatery owner Brant Crenshaw. "To have some of the guys, including Wil Myers and Joe Musgrove, celebrate their historic series win against the Dodgers in my restaurant, that is an honor."  

The San Diego Padres begin the National League Championship series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Petco Park on Tuesday, October 18, at 5:03pm. Game 2 will take place at Petco Park on Wednesday at 1:35pm, then the Padres will head to Philadelphia to play games 3-5, and if necessary, the series returns to Petco Park on October 24 & 25. This is the first time the Padres has been in the NLCS since 1998.
