Set to open in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter early next year, the AC Hotel by Marriott will house a South America-inspired rooftop bar & restaurant and an intimate speakeasy cocktail lounge.
AC Hotel San Diego will have a façade on Fifth Avenue featuring balconies with decorative metal railings, and a steel canopy with lighted signs. There will also be an outdoor seating area off the main lobby opening up onto Fifth Avenue in the heart of the Gaslamp. In addition to a lobby bar with small bites and beverages, the property will feature a rooftop bar named Techo Beso and a speakeasy cocktail bar dubbed Eden Park.
Techo Beso, which means "rooftop kiss" in Spanish, will be inspired by the energy and culture of love found in South America. The main bar space will offer a DJ-fueled gathering area with comfortable seating options and will connect to the main pool deck a few steps above. The pool will connect the guests to a second terrace bar. Designed as a separate world from the surrounding environment below, Techo Beso will offer sprawling views of downtown San Diego, as well as a menu of Latin-American inspired tapas and hand-crafted cocktails. On the lower level of the AC Hotel, Eden Park will be more of an intimate cocktail lounge serving small plates, mimicking a speakeasy, and offering a full bar with creative libations.
