Bub's At The Beach Announces Impending Closure In San Diego After 25 Years In Business

April 18, 2023

Longtime Pacific Beach bar & grill, Bub's at the Beach has announced its impending closure after 25 years in business.

"25 years in Pacific Beach is coming to an end," read the announcement on Bub's at the Beach's social media. "Come celebrate with us as we say thank you to PB and everyone who has supported us over the years!! We will be closing our doors at the end of the month so there’s a short window to hit your favorites on Bub’s menu and give some love to our amazing staff."

Bub's at the Beach was founded in 1998 on Garnet Avenue in the heart of Pacific Beach and eventually expanded with a now-bustling branch sited next door to Petco Park in the East Village. The PB location was known for its Archie Chicken Sando, grilled wings, and was a meetup spot for Pittsburgh Steelers fans and Virginia Tech alumni.

Bub's at the Beach owner Todd Brown owns the building but sold the restaurant and bar business to a new, yet-to-be named operator. The Pacific Beach location will close after end of service on April 30, while the downtown branch will remain in business.

Bub's at the Beach is located at 1030 Garnet Avenue in the heart of San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit bubspb.com
