The second area outpost of Pop Pops Paleta will soon open in San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood.
In late 2020, local real estate agent Shira Ladelsky and her husband and longtime planning director Nissim Levy opened the first Pop Pops Paleta on India Street in San Diego's Little Italy. A concept based on pop art, the dessert shop has a become a destination for its menu of gourmet paleta popsicles in a multitude of flavors.
The second location of Pop Pops will open as early as this summer in the space that last housed Mint Footwear on University Avenue in Hillcrest. Like the original, expect an "insta-worthy" design and a lengthy menu of flavored paleta popsicles, paleta waffles and paleta shakes & smoothies, as well as vegan and sugar-free options. Each paleta will be made with fresh ingredients, including charcoal and real edible gold, with the option to make any version into into a drink. Expect flavors like Belgian chocolate, peanut butter cup, arroz con leche, spicy mango lime, mint, chia and more.
