Harry's Taco Club To Bring Tacos & Tequila To San Diego's East Village

June 23, 2023

The owner of Harry's Coffee Shop is bringing a new outpost of his Mexican street food restaurant concept Harry's Taco Club to San Diego's East Village.

Part of the space that currently houses a branch of breakfast-focused Fig Tree Cafe in San Diego's East Village will soon be taken over by John Rudolph, who owns Harry’s Coffee Shop in La Jolla, Cass Street Bar & Grill and Harry's Taco Club in Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach, The Venetian in Point Loma, Americana restaurant in Del Mar, and Mike's Taco Club in Ocean Beach. Rudolph has partnered with Fig Tree Cafe founder Johan Engman to bring a branch of Harry's Taco Club to the East Village.

Harry's Taco Club was first unveiled in Pacific Beach in 2020 as a near identical copy of Mike's Taco Club in Ocean Beach, which is almost the same as its predecessor in location, Oscar's Mexican Seafood. Like Harry's Taco Club locations in PB, Ocean Beach and soon Point Loma, expect a menu of tacos, burritos, chips, smothered fries, ceviche, quesadillas, and other Mexican-style side dishes. There will also be a full bar with cocktails, margaritas, beer, and wine, as well as soft drinks like house made agua frescas and Mexican sodas.

Harry's Taco Club is expected to open this summer at 695 Sixth Avenue in San Diego's East Village. For more information, follow Harry's Taco Club on Instagram.
