As part of Comic-Con International, a Sonic the Hedgehog pop-up restaurant has opened for a month-long run in downtown San Diego.
A partnership pop up between SEGA and restaurateur Andy Nguyen of Secret Sauce Society, the Sonic the Hedgehog Restaurant Pop-Up opened today in the Chick 'N Cone space in San Diego's East Village. The installation will run through August 20.
At the Sonic the Hedgehog Pop-Up, expect aa menu inspired by the video game universe with dishes like Sonic’s Classic Chili Dog, Knuckles Fried Chicken Sandwich and The Evil Genius egg salad sandwich. There will also be side items like the Golden Rings onion rings and Fast Fries. As far as beverages, expect items like the Blue Blur blueberry slushy, the Team Dark mocha milkshake, and the Smashing Echidna cherry slushy. There will also be Sonic Speed Cafe merchandise available.
Sonic Speed Cafe will be open open 11am-9pm from July 13-18 and July 24-August 20, and then 11am-midnight July 19-23, located at 910 J Street in San Diego's East Village. For more information, follow the restaurant on Instagram.
