San Diego's Fall Brewing Company Ready To Unveil New Brewing Headquarters In Miramar

August 9, 2023

San Diego's 9-year-old Fall Brewing Company has set an August 12 opening date for its new 50,000+ square-foot Miramar-based brewing headquarters, which was previously occupied by Ballast Point parent company Kings & Convicts brewery and Saint Archer Brewing before that.

Co-owner and once-upon-a-time head-brewer Ramon Astamendi opened Fall Brewing in a former auto repair shop on a quiet stretch of North Park in November 2014. The company quickly gained a loyal following due to its creative artwork, community-focused tasting rooms, and a solid core craft beer lineup, which includes favorites like Plenty for All Pilsner, Green Hat IPA, and 2AM Bike Ride. Graphic designer to the stars, David Lively, and Premier Stainless Systems founder Robert Soltys eventually took an ownership interest in Fall Brewing and are now managing the company, allegedly ousting founding brewer and co-owner Astamendi from having any control over operations. In mid-2021, Fall Brewing opened a new tasting room dubbed The Golden Rhino Room in San Diego's South Park.

Earlier this year, Fall Brewing took over the 57,000 square-foot property last occupied by Kings & Convicts, who took the space over from Saint Archer Brewing in early 2022 and exited the facility earlier this year. The brewery building contains a 40-barrel brewhouse, 5-barrel pilot system, and cellar and canning line, which will help Fall greatly expand its operations. The onsite tasting room, dubbed The Devil Cat, will feature tufted jade leather booths with windows overlooking the brewing facility, Edison bulb chandeliers, and walls outfitted with the company's artwork. Fall Brewing has made the Miramar building its new brewing headquarters.

Fall Brewing Headquarters will grand open on Saturday, August 12, at 9550 Distribution Avenue in San Diego's Miramar. For more information, visit fallbrewingcompany.com.
