San Diego's East Village Association will host its first-ever Taste of East Village self-guided food tour of over 35 restaurants this August 29 & 30, and promo code SDVILLE saves on tickets.
Calling all foodies to downtown San Diego as the East Village is hosting its first annual tasting event. For two consecutive days, local East Village restaurants will open their doors for the Taste of East Village, taking place from 4-8pm on both Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30. Ticket holders will eat, sip and stroll their way through the neighborhood sampling appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverages from more than 35 of the area's most popular restaurants. Those with tickets will receive a Taste Passport at check-in to use as a guide for mapping out all participating restaurants in the neighborhood and their menu offerings.
"We are excited to introduce the first ever Taste of East Village," said Ethan Olsen, Assistant District Manager of the East Village Association. "East Village is home to a wide array of unique culinary gems including a diverse selection of Michelin guide restaurants, making it the perfect destination for a high-end foodie event. It's also a great way for San Diegans and visitors to meet local businesses owners, enjoy delicious food and relish in everything the neighborhood has to offer."
Participating restaurants serving samples at this year's Taste of East Village include Ales Tales Tap Room & Kitchen, Black Market Bakery, Casa Octavio, City Tacos, Doggos Gus, East Village Brewing, Hey Sugar!, Hi Poke, Knotty Barrel & Knotty Brewing Tasting Room, Level 9 Rooftop Bar @ Hotel Indigo, Little Miss Brewing, LOLA 55, Lotus Thai, MAKE Pizza + Salad, Modbom Cocktails & Papalo Kitchen Sonoran BBQ, Moniker Cocktail Co., Moniker Warehouse, Poke Vida, Quartyard, R Place Sports Bar & Grill, Sovereign Modern Thai, Storyhouse Spirits, Tavern + Bowl, The Church by Lost Abbey, The Invigatorium, The Kabob Shop and Wicked Chicken.

Upon arrival to the event, attendees will check-in at their scheduled time at one of two locations, depending on the event day, where they will be given their Taste Passport. Check in locations will be announced closer to the event. Ticket holders will then peruse throughout the neighborhood stopping at participating restaurants for their signature bites, each earning a stamp on their passport.
Tickets to the Taste of East Village are available online for $40 and include a taste at each participating location (while supplies last). Promo code SDVILLE saves $5 per ticket. Proceeds go to benefit the East Village Association of San Diego, a non profit company that's mission is to support and promote East Village businesses by establishing a livable urban village.
