A San Diego smash burger specialist, Eat Crispy Burger is planning to open several new locations in 2024.
Founded in Encinitas in 2022 by Angela Ablahad and Ramzy Rahib, Eat Crispy Burger quickly became a dining destination due to its menu of customizable and perfectly seared smash burgers (even making our most recent Best Burger list). The family-run burger spot will soon open a second area location off Convoy Street in the plaza across from Zion Market in San Diego's Kearny Mesa neighborhood.
In addition to a 1,500 square-foot Convoy Street location announced last year, Eat Crispy has revealed plans for several more branches expected to unveil this year. Eat Crispy Burger ownership have taken over the space that last housed Miss Kim's by That Boy Good in San Diego's North County city of Oceanside. There is also a branch opening adjacent to the InterContinental Hotel in downtown San Diego and an additional site in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista.
Like the original branch, the incoming Eat Crispy Burger restaurants will have a menu centered around flat-top seared smash burgers made with 100% certified Angus beef delivered daily and never frozen, as well as plant-based Impossible meat substitute. Burgers are served on house-baked brioche burger buns (or "protein style") and can be customized with a variety of toppings, ranging from bacon and pastrami to avocado, hash brown, and jalapeños. The eatery also sells breakfast sandwiches, fries, onion rings, soft drinks, cookies, ice cream milk shakes, and has a kid's menu.
Eat Crispy Burger locations are expected to open this spring at 4898 Convoy Street, Suite 103, in San Diego's Kearny Mesa and 207 N. Coast Highway in Oceanside. In the meantime, visit the original location at 905 Orpheus Avenue right off the I-5 Freeway in Encinitas. For more information, visit eatcrispyburger.com.
