San Diego's Old Town Urban Market Already Up For Sale After Less Than Two Years In Operation

January 11, 2024

After only two years in operation, San Diego's Old Town Urban Market & Food Hall is already up for sale.

In early 2021, Kevin Sadrieh, Grand Page and Zoha Sakhavat took over the longtime Miranda's Courtyard space in the heart of San Diego's historic Old Town to open a new al-fresco retail market and food hall concept. Old Town Urban Market eventually opened in December 2021, with original tenants including Chef Priscilla Curiel's Michelin-honored birria house Tuetano Taqueria, her Mexican coffee spot and traditional burrito shop Mujer Divina coffee house, and her Mexican mariscos eatery specializing in Baja-style seafood, dubbed Mar Rustica. Amid escalating tensions with her landlords, Chef Curiel pulled all her concepts from Old Town Urban Market late last year and will soon reopen Tuetano Taqueria and Mujer Divina on Third Avenue in Chula Vista.

Old Town Urban Market is now listed for sale at the price of $5,690,000 for two parcels. The combined 7,340 square-foot buildings are being sold by Flocke & Avoyer Commercial Real Estate brokerage. Current vendors occupying the market include Hola Paris, Flor's Farm To Table, Barrio Dona's, Elote, and The Wine Shop SD.

Old Town Urban Market is located at 2548 Congress Street in San Diego's historic Old Town. For more information, visit oturbanmarket.com.
