San Diego Favorite Hayes Burger Unveils New Location In Normal Heights

March 6, 2024

One of the city's top destinations for burgers, Hayes Burger has unveiled a new location in San Diego's Normal Heights.

Established in April 2020 by Ernesto Villanueva, Jose Honold, Yamel Kuri and Alejandro Ballesteros in the vibrant Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego, Haye's Burger quickly became a prominent destination for burger enthusiasts in the city (even making our San Diego's top burger list). The original location of this no-nonsense eatery offers a street art-inspired ambiance and a straightforward menu featuring single, double and triple cheeseburgers, as well as a grilled cheese and fries.
Earlier this year, Hayes Burger took over the storefront that last housed the short-lived Young Cluck fried chicken restaurant in San Diego's Normal Heights. The restaurant has now opened on Adams Avenue. Like the original branch, expect the new Hayes Burger to offer a short menu of smash burgers with the classic toppings of lettuce, tomato, burger sauce, and the option to add spicy Santa Fe Grande "guero" peppers, a mustard-fried patty, and housemade Habanero ketchup. The eatery will also offer an array of fries, including the Spicy Jimi fries with melted American cheese, house Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions and chopped chili guero.
Hayes Burger is now open at 3460 Adams Avenue in San Diego's Normal Heights community. For more information, visit hayesburger.com.
