With more than 20 locations around Southern California, Panini Kabob Grill will launch its fifth and sixth San Diego outposts later this year in downtown's East Village and within North County Mall.
First founded as Panini Cafe in 1997 by current CEO Mike Rafipoor, Panini Kabob Grill is a health-focused casual chain that now has 20 locations around Southern California, including branches in San Diego's Mission Valley, Carlsbad, Del Mar, and Westfield UTC. The concept is based around an all-day Italian-Mediterranean fusion menu centered around a devotion to fresh ingredients that combines old world and Middle Eastern styles.
Panini Kabob Grill will soon install within a space inside North County Mall in Escondido, as well on the base floor of Park 12 in downtown San Diego's East Village. The new full-service PKG restaurants will offer expansive breakfast, lunch and dinner options. At Panini Kabob Grill, start your day with eggs, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches or French toast accompanied by a list of coffee and espresso drinks. For lunch and dinner, indulge in a grilled Panini sandwich, wrap, or a kabob, made to order with choice of grilled chicken, filet, lamb, shrimp or salmon skewered with tomatoes and peppers. The restaurant also offers pasta dishes, vegetarian entrees, salads, soups and an extensive Mediterranean appetizer menu, as well as beer and wine options.
Panini Kabob Grill hopes to open this summer at 201 Park Boulevard, Suites 121 & 123, in downtown San Diego's East Village, as well as 272 East Via Rancho Parkway, Unit 247, in San Diego's North County city of Escondido. For more information, visit paninikabobgrill.com.
