North Park Beer Company Releases Additional Details About Pizzeria & Taproom Coming To San Diego's Pacific Beach

April 23, 2024

San Diego's award-winning North Park Beer Company has released new details about its 2,700 square-foot pizzeria and taproom concept coming soon to the Crown Point area of Pacific Beach.

North Park Beer is in the process of building its third area location in the space that last housed The Hen House on the corner of Ingraham Street and La Playa Avenue in the Crown Point neighborhood of Pacific Beach. Dubbed North Park Beer Company Pizza Shop, the bar & restaurant will serve a menu of NYC-style pizzas from Chef Sam Navarro. Expect 18 inch and 12 inch pizzas with a variety of toppings made in a high temperature conveyer oven, as well as a selection of salads, chicken wings, meatballs, and other pub food. From the bar, there will be 24 taps serving North Park Beer craft brews and hand chosen hard beverages from other area brewers.
The space will offer an array of seating options, from bar counter chairs to high communal tables, as well as outdoor seating on both sides of the restaurant. North Park Beer Company's newest establishment will feature corrugated metal and wood-clad accents, complemented by expansive painted surfaces. Drawing inspiration from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the design incorporates ninja hop characters, infusing the space with playful and vibrant energy.

Like the North Park locations, guests will line up to order from the bar, then grab a buzzer to alert when food is ready for pickup. There will also be a couple pinball machines onsite. North Park Beer's incoming third outpost is sited across the street from across the street from famed San Diego burger bar Rocky’s Crown Pub, as well as Bayside Landing bar & restaurant, and an incoming new location of Tajima Ramen House
North Park Beer Company was first operated out of founder Kelsey McNair's garage before the full-scale brewery unveiled in mid-2016 on the craft-beer saturated University Avenue in the heart of San Diego's North Park. As a home brewer, McNair racked up prestigious awards with his Hop-Fu! IPA becoming the most award-winning home brew recipe in state history.
In 2021, North Park Beer's Art is Hard Hazy IPA won a silver medal at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival, but the following year, the company brought home the illustrious Brewery of the Year award for brewing companies producing 2,001 to 5,000 barrels per year, in addition to being awarded a gold, silver and two bronze medals. In late 2022, North Park Brewing Company opened the doors to the company's second area tasting room and restaurant on the base floor of Secoya by the Park, a mixed-use building on the corner of 5th Avenue and Redwood Street in Bankers Hill.
North Park Beer Co. Pizza Shop is expected to open by this June at 3805 Ingraham Street in San Diego's Crown Point/Pacific Beach. For more information, visit northparkbeerco.com.
