A Northern California bakery and sandwich chain with more than 40 locations, West Coast Sourdough Deli has opened its first San Diego location.
West Coast Sourdough Deli began in 2020 in Sacramento, and there are now more than 40 locations dotted around California with a goal of having more than 100 branches in the coming years. The deli chain offers a menu centered around a long list of signature sandwiches made using fresh-baked sourdough bread baked with a starter that originates from a mother dough from 1995.The first San Diego location of West Coast Sourdough recently opened in East Oceanside. In addition to 20 signature sandwiches, including French dip, pastrami, brisket and buffalo chicken, the eatery also serves salads like chicken Caesar and Greek, as well as soups including clam chowder and tomato bisque. In addition to sourdough bread, sandwiches can also be designed to order with other bread options like marble rye, honey wheat and gluten free.
