A new Italian restaurant and pizzeria named West Coast Pizza Company is moving into the space long occupied by Killer Pizza From Mars in San Diego's North County.
Last October, after 24 year's in business, Killer Pizza From Mars has permanently shuttered in Escondido following nearly a full year of internal drama, with ownership accusing various employees of wrong-doings, and vice versa. The space has now been leased by new tenants who aim to open a new pizzeria concept.
Dubbed West Coast Pizza Company, the incoming restaurant will be owned and operated by Gary Garfine and Alexander Ilic, who are both Jersey Mike's Subs franchisees. Expect the eatery to serve a menu centered around New York-style pizza and Italian dishes, as well as offering beer and wine options.
West Coast Pizza Company is expected to open later this year at 1040 West El Norte Parkway in San Diego's North County community of Escondido.
