Los Angeles-based fast-casual seafood restaurant Surfside Fish House has opened in San Diego's North County community of Scripps Ranch.
Surfside Fish House is an evolution of the Seasalt Fish Grill brand, which was started by James Jang in Los Angeles in 2013. In late 2017, the company expanded into San Diego with the opening of Seasurf Fish Company in Del Mar.
Surfside Fish House has now opened in the space that last housed a Luna Grill within Scripps Ranch Marketplace Shopping Mall. Like Seasurf in Del Mar, Surfside will have a fish market feel with a menu featuring a wide variety of seafood dishes. Expect items like ceviche, poke nachos, seafood chowders, salads, fish & chips, ginger garlic shrimp, seafood cioppino, gumbo, poke bowls, seafood tacos, burritos, grilled fish, seafood sandwiches and more. The restaurant will also serve wine and both bottled and local craft beers.
