North County San Diego's only comedy club is set to relocate into a former California Pizza Kitchen restaurant space.
North County native and veteran of the region's comedy scene, Adam Wasserman, officially opened Grand Comedy Club in the heart of Escondido in November 2019. After nearly five years in business, the bar and restaurant is moving to the unit previously occupied by California Pizza Kitchen within North County Mall.
The new location will allow the club to expand its seating capacity from 140 to 200 guests, enabling it to attract bigger names in comedy. Wasserman also plans to add a pizzeria and sports pub to the mix, while retaining the name Grand Comedy Club. With the expansion, the club will operate seven days a week and offer a broader range of entertainment, including sports, karaoke, and live music. Wasserman is in the process of obtaining a liquor license to offer a full-service bar, enhancing the overall experience for guests.
Grand Comedy Club & Pizza is expected to reopen this December at 200 East Via Rancho Parkway in San Diego's North County city of Escondido. For more information, visit grandcomedyclub.com.
