The beloved University Heights Fall Festival returns to Park Avenue in San Diego's University Heights on Saturday, October 19, from 10am to 5pm. This family-friend event offers a full day of entertainment and activities for adults and kids alike, all while supporting a great cause.
The University Heights Fall Festival begins with a free community yoga session led by Yoga One. Later, sing along with your favorite tunes played by San Diego cover band Appian Way, join in the celebration with Mariachi La Victoria, and enjoy dance performances from the talented students of Birney Elementary.
From a seasonal pie tasting, horse-drawn hayrides, a pumpkin patch to purchase your perfect carving pumpkin, and bounce house, to art and science tents, lawns games and a free Halloween costume swap, the festival offers a wide range of free and ticketed activities for kids and adults alike. Attendees will also discover the craftsmanship of San Diego at the artisan market, curated by University Heights shop, Timshel, as well as a local garden, small business & community groups curated by the University Heights Garden Club.
The event will also feature a food zone with mouthwatering bites from local vendors. For adults, there’s also a 21+ beer and wine garden, with University Heights own Kairoa Brewing and Clos Wine Shop offering the best in local brews and wines.
While you’re enjoying all the fall festivities, you’ll also be supporting Alice Birney Elementary, a public school that serves over 530 students. The festival’s proceeds fund garden, art, music, theatre, and Spanish classes, all enrichment opportunities that are not covered by the school district.
