San Diego's Angel’s Salumi Expands With Upcoming Gourmet Grocery Store “Savory Farms” in Carlsbad

A new destination for fine foods and epicurean essentials is coming to San Diego's North County as Savory Farms, a gourmet grocery and deli, prepares to open this summer next door to Angel’s Salumi in Carlsbad.

The highly anticipated project is the latest venture from renowned charcuterie expert and Angel’s Salumi founder Pascal Besset, whose culinary pedigree includes decades spent mastering European charcuterie across Monte Carlo, Corsica, Paris, and Southern California. Building on the success of his artisanal salumi and truffle business, Besset’s next concept is designed to offer a curated grocery experience centered on indulgence, quality, and European culinary tradition.
Savory Farms will specialize in premium wine, artisanal cheeses, imported charcuterie, Italian antipasti, pantry staples, and fresh baked goods including breads and pastries. Guests can also expect a rotating selection of seasonal and specialty items, providing both locals and visitors with a go-to shop for elevated everyday essentials and gourmet entertaining.
While Angel’s Salumi has earned national acclaim for its handcrafted meats and truffle offerings - found in top-tier restaurants and gourmet shops across the U.S. - Savory Farms represents a broader expression of Besset’s passion for food, drawing from his deep experience as a chef and his commitment to top-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. Situated within the Carlsbad Gateway Center, Savory Farms will be located adjacent to Angel’s Salumi’s retail storefront and distribution center. The new store is expected to complement the flagship salumeria while expanding the offerings available to food lovers in North County.
Savory Farms is slated to open in this summer at 5621 Palmer Way, Suite A, in San Diego's North County city of Carlsbad. For more information, visit savory-farms.com
